As the clock ticks down towards the start of the new year, it's worth recognizing the unprecedented last 12 months CENX has experienced as a company.
Most recently, CENX was named one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte 2017 North America Technology Fast 500 list, marking the fourth major award win of the year for the company.
The Fast 500 list has annually ranked the fastest growing North American companies that have demonstrated cutting edge business strategies, vision, and solid management in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. Companies are evaluated based on their relative growth in revenue over a three-year period.
Without a doubt, 2017 marked a watershed year for CENX. Tier 1 customer wins, such as the announced partnership with Verizon, started the year off strong. Following this, CENX continued to build momentum over the coming months with a number of prestigious award wins. MEF awarded CENX the "Third Network Technology Solutions – Service Assurance" award and Light Reading recognized CENX as an "Outstanding Digital Enablement Vendor" at their Leading Lights Award show.
CENX's rapid growth in 2017 certainly did not go unnoticed by industry analysts, as it was also notably named among the "50 Fastest Growing Tech Companies 2017" by The Silicon Review.
In addition to all of this industry recognition, CENX received the nod from some notable standards bodies. In 2017, CENX joined the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI) open source MANO community and achieved TM Forum Frameworx conformance certification. Both of these hard earned and highly regarded classifications serve as a testament to the high standard of the CENX software.
The Software Behind the Awards
Earlier this year, CENX launched the latest version of its namesake product, CENX 7, which breaks down the barriers between virtual and legacy network infrastructure, and delivers guaranteed service quality. CENX 7 allows service providers to establish a real-time, end-to-end view of their network using a single interface. This launch, coupled with the growing recognition of CENX among industry pundits, analysts, and customers, made for a successful 2017 and will be the building blocks for a stronger 2018.
Call it a perfect storm, a collision between market forces and growing customer demands will see CENX expand its footprint in the global marketplace in the new year. Current industry projections forecast that the global SDN and NFV market is set to grow by 70 per cent by 2022. CENX’s service assurance software provides the type of comprehensive, real-time monitoring required by Tier 1 service providers to accurately understand the data flowing through their networks. The forecasted industry upswing, coupled with CENX delivering its innovative platform right when the world's biggest carriers need it most, positions the company for significant growth.
"Service providers are contending with escalating demand and increasingly complex networks," said Edward Kennedy, Chief Executive Office of CENX. "With the onset of 5G, IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, CENX is well positioned for explosive growth as we push the technological boundaries of our software as the leader in creating networks of the future."
